Medusa and Cerberus
A Double Success
In 2014 I was headed to Salem, Mass for my annual Halloween Camping trip on Winter Island Park. My 14 year old lab, Shadow, had some health conditions that made me decide it best that he make the trip with me. If he was going, he might as well go in style. The three headed guard dog was a hit! Old boy was even the first Instagram post of the local news caster. My Medusa headpiece took shape more and more from it's origin in 2008, I had been adding on rubber snakes over the course of about 7 years and she probably weighs about 5 lbs or so now. In 2015 Salem's Haunted Happenings used my Medusa face as one of the featured photos for advertising.

Darth Talon
Star Wars Comic Villain
In 2012 I was researching the tattoos and wardrobe of Darth Maul for a costume I was making someone when I first discovered Darth Talon. I immediately knew I had to pair her with Darth Maul for an event that year and set to work on creating her leather, armor and Lekku (the long headpiece). I debated on whether to use a body suit but in the end, three hours (with help) of body painting later and the look was complete. Well other than I ran out of time to get laces on to my armor so that part is missing. If I hit Comic-Con some year, there will be some fine tuning beforehand but she's a fun roll.

Headless Horseman
Perfect Execution
For a family trip to Salem in 2021 with my sister and dad, my sister suggested a Sleepy Hollow theme so I was tasked with creating Abraham Van Brunt aka Brom Bones aka the Headless Horseman. It was a big hit especially having Ichabod and the Constable alongside. "Brom" is largely made up of scraps of carboard, plastic and fabric. A lot of fun watching people's faces with this one. We just happened across the guillotine and had to stop for a picture.
